The air cushion foundation

I have tried 2 most popular air cushion that was in market recently.

Both have their own good points and I have my own preference.

Lets compare the 2 popular air cushion, Lancome ($75 w/o refilled)  and Sulwhasoo ($75 with refilled)
 Both are made in Korea.

Product description:

Sulwhasoo Evenfair Perfecting Cushion
Anti Wrinkle/whitening/UV protection (SPF50+,PA+++)
1) Apricot Kernel Oil works to promote collagen formation in the skin – improving skin elasticity and resilience for powerful anti-wrinkle benefits.
2) Jaumdan™ Water and antioxidants deliver optimal hydration and lifting effects.
3) The unique Flexible Film-Fixing Polymer offers a thin protective barrier for a flawless finish for 12 hours.

Lancome Blanc Expert Cushion
SPF23,PA++
1) The power of light: its formula is enriched with pine extract, known for its depigmenting properties. The complexion is left radiant, illuminated with transparent perfection.
2)The moisturising duo: the association of an emollient agent, ester oil, and glycerine improves skin’s water content, leaving it softer and smoother. 4-hour hydrating action for skin’s well-being and comfort
3)Visibly smoother skin: the polymer’s gel texture combines with the pigments’ coverage for a blur effect. Pores and surface imperfections are reduced, as though
minimised. Skin texture is visibly more even.
4)Visibly younger skin: the formula is enriched with adenosine, known for its anti-wrinkle properties. Skin is left more luminous and smoother, as though
rested.
5) Photo-protection: with SPF 23/PA++ to protect the complexion from UVA and UVB, to help prevent the formation of age spots and the signs of sun-related
photo-ageing.

My personal preference are Sulwhasoo perfecting cushion, as I noticed it give the most coverage and it stay longer than Lancome air cushion.

For Lancome, it create a very dewy look, very wet in laid man term. If you have a very dry skin, I suppose the Lancome will suit you the most. I am not saying that Sulwhasoo is dry, its not, but its not the wet feel, but Sulwhasoo give you a type of porcelain effect and its goes with its name... the perfect air cushion because it gave a perfect coverage on my skin and still product excellent moisturizing effect. However, the smell of Sulwhasoo might not be appreciate by alot of people. I did not like the smell at the beginning when I first start using Sulwhasoo perfect cushion, but when I get used to it, everything seem perfect for me.

Talking about long lasting... Lancome does not really stay on my skin for 2 hours (based on my combination skin type and humid weather). But Sulwhasoo does stay perfectly on my skin for 2 hours without the need to touch up. This is great!!

Upon deciding which to buy, you may also have to consider the skin tone of which it most suits you. Unfortunately for Sulwhasoo, they only have 2 Skin tone colour, which is the medium pink and Medium beige. Not really suitable for multi racial country I suppose). However, Lancome on the other hand has 6 skin tone to choose from (it started with 4, but increase to about 6 since I purchase it in June 2015).

This are my personal review... Give them a try... U might find one that suits you the most

The Services

Passionate Nails @ one Raffles

Like many others, I browse around to look for a nice place to get my nails done. One Raffles was a new place, a new mall, when I happened to see that deal.com.sg have a deal for pedicure and manicures, my friend and I decide to have it a try. They have 2 branches both situated at Raffles City. However, it was better for us to try the new place than The Arcade.

Well... I made an appointment as usual with them 1 month before my appointment date. Its not easy to call in, guess busy busy.... But fortunately I manage to get thru and booked the appointment.

The day of appointment, due to the convenience location, its not difficult to find them. But it was than  our disappointment and horror start.

When we reached. there are 3 staffs, 2 with uniform and 1 without, which I will assume she is the supervisor.. or maybe the owner of the shop, all 3 of them are attending to 1 customer, 2 doing the hand and 1 on the foot. I went in and told them I had an appointment made at 6pm. 1 lady came over to check their "appointment book" asking me names, contact details etc.. and said they didnt have any detail. She told me I might have call the wrong branch. But I am sure I didnt. Since I already know where One Raffles and The Arcade different. I even show them my phone contact history and confirm the number is correct. And guess what the girl told me....

The girl said.. " We dont have staffs here, do u mind 1 of us go to the Arcade and 1 stay here".. WTH? We came together as buddy and trying to enjoy the moment together and they wanted to separate us? And I made an appointment of 2 and 3 person is servicing 1 and they told me not enough staff? Okay... Now I sound like a unreasonable customer, but I must highlighted something, I didnt scream, nor scolded anyone, I just told them that it shouldnt be that way... Why cant they have the appointment correct ? Well. I did ask them so what now? No staffs? and I look around.

The one without uniform simply ignore us. no eye contact. come over and check that "appointment book" again and speak softly to the other girl... than the other told us to take a seat and they bring 1 staff over. Ok.. Great... I think this should be the way.... although we bought from a promotion but we are still paying customer.

When we wanted to take a seat... for less than 2 min, the girl told us that we have to move to the Arcade for our services... I was like... WHAT?  and so 2 staffs from the Arcade bring their "barang barang" to One Raffles to get us to the Arcade... I cannot imagine this happen...  Well.. do I have another choice? its either be a unreasonable customer to demand to get our service done where it should be or follow... Well, I choose the latter.

And worst yet to happen. We reached The Arcade to get it done... and 1 middle age abit pump auntie sit opposite me kept staring at me with that kind of stare that I was a unreasonable customer... The 2 staffs who bring us over did apologise for any inconvenience caused. But I told them... they didnt do anything wrong, but the management is wrong, If they think deal.com.sg promotion is kind of "cheapo" to them, than dont marketed it online for customer to purchase and enjoy the deal.

Throughout the whole service, you ladies reading this can already imagine what type of service we get.... teh worst of the worst... they injure my friend nails... than stare at me like I am a criminal....

Service? Below average (FAILED)
management? Terrible

What else do I need to say more? Going back? Over my dead body... even the next deal was FOC.. I wouldnt go at all... Look at how they advertised their service, they said they have confident that their service we receive will surpass our expectation... hahaha... well.. indeed... One of worst service I received.

Well... many of us received services from deal.com, groupon and many more... One reason because of the price, it was somehow too good to be true, but some of us are just trying to find a good place to get a good service. I dont mind paying big bucks to have a place with good quality and service. But how many of us have been treated like shit even we pay the price we arent suppose to get.

If a company, a service provider cannot provide a decent service to coupon customer with respect and equality, than how can we trust them to treat us well in long run?

If service provider can treat those customer who purchase any deal with the promotion 100% well. I am sure they will treat their regular customer even more better.... Isnt it?

This is all my personal experience got from them and my personal view... maybe I am just one of those customer they dont like to serve. And one of the customer they dont wish to keep. Not important to them anyway....

Good luck people.

Qoo10 Service - Flair Hairdressing
location is at circular road
Been to this salon for hair colour 2x, The first experience was great, the stylist that attended to me is Keith, seem like the salon only have 2 stylist in charge.

The location of this salon is quite easily found. Not a big salon I would say, However, the staffs are professional enough to serve you like many other walk in or regular customer that pay the full price. The bad thing about this promotion is, it is only applicable on weekdays, the last appointment for hair colour is 5pm. Therefore unless you are not working on normal office hours or on leave, it seem impossible to take up the offer. But I guess they have change this term and condition, DO take note of the print out voucher, as I realized the timing advertised on Qoo10 website and the print out are not the same.....

The 1st visit was good and I really love the service that was provided. However the 2nd visit was abit lack. I guess due to the new stylist they hire. It was still Keith that was attending to me at the beginning, until his customer came in for his appointment. Another young guy take over to do the rinsing for me.. Usually hair wash was the most comfortable time whereby you can just lie down peacefully while they wash and massage your head. Honestly... I always fall asleep so soundly that the stylist sometime have to wake me up abit... (paiseh)...

But the 2nd visit, I do not have the luxury of sleeping while I have my hair wash off the dye.... As usually I had falling asleep, but I was shock when the water was pouring on my face.... yes... if it was in an army training, that is how the officer trying to wake the army soldier out from their sleep. I got a shock and almost choke... OMG!!! what happen.. that was my 1st reaction, .... hahaha.. and that stylist was apologizing and I am sure he didn't mean it. The thing is.. ladies went out with make up, and while he was panic about what happen, he kept using his cloth to mop on my face... I told him I am ok... just want to get him to stop what he is doing... LOL.. haiz... and yes.. my makeup are almost gone. eyeliner gone.. damn.. waterproof eyeliner...

Anyway... the colour was good on my hair, service was good just minus off the water war on my face... I think I just have to forgive him seem he is new... liked he said, he just not used to the water strength of that tap. haiz....

Well.... Its quite worth a try...

Ensogo Singapore - Deal.com.sg - Hair Pod Orchard Rd Orchard Plaza  (next to visit on 23 May 2015)

I had purchase from deal.com the Goldwell Nectaya Hair Colouring OR Creative Highlights $45 1 session. The price was stated to included all hair length.

All options include:
  • Intensive Hair Treatment
  • Head Massage
  • Wash & Blow Dry
  • Styling

The first time I try on this salon... never visited before.

The calling for appointment was not successful for 3 times, as no one was answering the phone. However, I manage to get to the person incharge after 4th tried. The hair salon telephone seem to have diverted to her mobile. Unfortunately when the time I called, she was having her lunch tapao. But she promise to call back which she did... The reservation was great. She was very professional. And she didnt sound irritated when I told her I purchase an offer from deal.com. trust me, some just sound irritated and lost their interest when they get to know the customer was purchasing promotion from those network... If u know what I mean.. U should have face the same problem ;)

Will update again after I got the service done.

The 4D vibration pore brush

($45.90 from qoo10)

This is currently very popular item selling on the market...
The three dimensional cleansing of virbrating pore brush.

This 4D sound wave vibratory pore brush cleans up wastes in the pore effectively to prevent widen pore, blackhead and whitehead in order to create clean and clear skin texture.

I bought the Tosowoong 4D vibration pore brush
My personal usage has given me quite an impressive impression on this. Of cos we cannot compare this with those over price that was selling on market. But this effortable brush has already created quite clean skin texture.

The set come with a free pore brush.... and lots of samples

The washing was very comfortable, I must admit, there is alittle itchy when the brush is vibrating on my face... I will assume that my blood circulation is working... the cleansing is definitely very clean.

But I dont recommend putting too much water on the brush as it the foam might drip all over the place which will be a little messy... So I usually put the cleanser on my face, wet the brush alittle and start washing all over the face in circular motion.

A Must

So many masks selling in market and everyone claims it's own mask to be nice and perfect.  Some are collagen.  Some for hydro. Some for wrinkles... too many too many... have tried a few....

innisfree Super Volcanic pore clay mask (qoo10)
The need to apply on face and wash off after 20min. The mask have slightly abit mint in it, however there are 2 skin type to use, therefore purchasing the correct one is necessary

Odbo Collagen hydro-mask
This mask was given by odbo counter when I bought their moisturizer, a korea brand. it has a very strong smell but nice smell. If you have a big face, I would not recommand this, the size of the mask is pretty small. the nose area are small and the upper lips part is smaller than those mask we usually purchase, its very comfortable when using it, very hydro for a mask... great experience.

The Sun Protection

SPF (sun protection factor) is the numerical rating that denotes the extra time a product will allow you to stay outside before you start to burn. A sunscreen with a rating of SPF 15+ would provide a fair-skinned person 15 times more protection for their exposed skin than if they didn't use a sunscreen, (Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency said this). So if a person starts to burn after 10 minutes in the sun, correctly applied SPF 15 will provide protection for 10 times longer or 150 minutes.

But one thing you must know, SPF is only a measure of a sunscreen's effectiveness against UVB rays. So you might have poor sun protection even if you are using the highest SPF sunscreen, unless it also lists sunscreen ingredients that blocks UVA rays.

In general, a sunscreen with:
  • SPF 2 blocks 50% of UVB rays
  • SPF 4 blocks 75% of UVB rays
  • SPF 8 blocks 87% of UVB rays
  • SPF 15 blocks 93% of UVB rays
  • SPF 30 blocks 97% of UVB rays
  • SPF 50 blocks 98% of UVB rays
  • SPF 100 blocks 99% of UVB rays
Ultraviolet radiation is broken into three types of wavelengths:
  • UV-A: This is the longest wavelength and is not absorbed by the ozone. It penetrates the skin deeper than UV-B.
  • UV-B: Responsible for sunburns. It is partially blocked by the ozone layer.
  • UV-C: This is totally absorbed by the earth's atmosphere; we encounter it only from artificial radiation sources.
To have a protection against UV, these are the ingredient should be found in it at the least.
Arobenzon
benzophenones
helioplex
merxoryl SX

So ladies.... please find the one that suits you with a great protection... But most importantly. Please apply them, dont get misconcept that when you are indoor you dont need one, do remember UV penetrates indoor as well hor!!!....

Do remember to tab all over ur face and leave it for 2 min before applying ur usual make up.

So what have I been using for my face. My body for this sunny sun

KOSE - Sekkisei sun protect essence gel (SPF50+/PA++++)
totally love this watery essence gel, the texture is smooth and light. Its for someone who love great protection yet doesnt feel anything on the face.

Laneign sum block (for face) (SPF50+/PA+++)
Love the water base texture of this product. Very clean feel as it does not create a creamy effect or stickiness feel on my face.the t exture is watery. As it's claim to be waterbase. It's not creamy nor oily. A little of it helps cover the whole face.

CLIO sun protection UV CC Mist. (For body)
SPF25/PA++
Love the spray mist which is so easy to apply. However. The texture are a little thick. Somehow or rather the stickiness on the body might not be everyone's favourite. However, comparing to those lotion type sunblock. The texture of this mist is not as thick as it is.
This is good for touch up.

The Face Shop sunblock (for body) (SPF40+/PA+++)
Its very sticky and greasy, it suppose to be on the body not on the face.

My Stories........

I am not earning any referral fee or commission from the product owner or merchant.
Basically it is items/products I had used before, tried before and just mainly share my opinion on the product that benefit me.
It might not be what you agree with, Since everyone have or had their own product that they like or suitable with them, and this is mine.

I am a shopaholic, I like trying on new product that was launch in the market, trying on the best and most suitable product that benefit us the most. Most of my friends are interested whether what shampoo I used, what eye shadows, what CC/BB creams/ foundation etc... I found that sharing is wonderful and every girls should look wonder.

Expensive doesnt mean its definately a good product, but somehow, the ingredient they used and the amount of money the merchant put in to examine, invent a new technology brings a great and useful product to market may cost a little more pricy than those common price items. But that does mean common price items are not useful. they are as well, and so... I would tried them as well.

I hope my review on the products helps my friends get a little idea on the items they have doubts and interests to purchase.

Most of the product photos was capture from online, I used to have them all taken by my own, for dont know what reason, the link was broken, and I couldnt find back those product that was stop producing in market and somehow too lazy to retook everyone again... So at the moment, I will have to used it by googling them, Will replace it with my own once I get the chance to do so. Nevertheless, also through looking the photo, I realised that most of the product are well found in the www world. thumbs up.
